Tldr - I am launching a new startup!
A few weeks ago, I shared a playbook on how to build a $1M ARR consumer AI startup in 12 months after interviewing some of the most cracked consumer AI founders. I’m blown away by the response and all the conversations it sparked.
One of the biggest takeaways from those conversations was the power of short-form video for growth. But as many of you know, making great video content is a grind.
At the same time, AI video is hitting an inflection point. The tech is getting crazy good, fast. But creating a good video still requires multiple tools, and creating consistent characters, voices, and styles feels almost impossible.
For the past couple of months, my friend Pontus and I have been working on a solution to this exact problem. I’m so excited to finally share it with you.
It’s called Pikes.
Pikes is a platform that lets you create videos with custom, on-brand AI characters. This means you can finally have consistent, on-brand characters across all your content, without the logistical nightmare of traditional video production.
We’ve seen a few interesting use cases so far:
1/ Your digital twin – Build a digital twin who can create videos for you 24/7 on LinkedIn, TikTok, etc. I’ve been experimenting with turning my newsletters into TikTok videos using my own AI twin built on Pikes.
2/ AI influencers – Create custom AI creators to produce content for your brand, or license them out to promote other brands and monetize through affiliate links or sponsorships.
3/ Video mockups – Quickly prototype human-style videos to refine things like pacing, camera angles, and script. For example, I used Pikes to create four rough versions of the launch video before filming the final cut. It saved me hours and cut down costs significantly.
